Archive Policy
Integrity • Discoverability • Long-term Preservation

SHMW is fully committed to the long-term integrity, discoverability, and preservation of all published content. This policy outlines how we safeguard scholarly materials so articles remain permanently accessible to the global research community.

1. Digital Preservation
  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): Primary preservation route for OJS journals, providing decentralized, redundant archiving of published content.
  • LOCKSS / CLOCKSS (where registered): Additional participation may be used to ensure multi-node preservation and independent recovery in case of catastrophic failure.
  • Secure Backups: The journal performs regular, secure off-site backups of content and metadata to prevent data loss.
2. Long-Term Access
  • Open Access: All articles remain permanently available under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
  • Persistent Identifiers: Each article receives a DOI via Crossref for durable linking, citation, and discovery across systems.
  • Interoperability: Metadata is exposed via standard protocols (e.g., OAI-PMH) to support indexing and harvesting.
3. Archival Repositories

To enhance durability and visibility, SHMW partners with reputable repositories:

  • Neliti Neliti Archive: Inclusion in Neliti’s repository for Indonesian and international reach.
  • Mendeley Data Mendeley Data: Authors may deposit underlying datasets in Mendeley Data, linking data DOIs to article DOIs to support reproducibility.
  • Garuda (Indonesian National Index): Long-term storage within Indonesia’s national academic index to ensure regional accessibility.
4. Retention of Records
  • Submitted manuscripts, peer-review reports, editorial decisions, and correspondence are securely retained for at least 5 years after publication.
  • Retention supports transparency, audit trails, and ethical accountability in editorial processes.
5. Author Rights & Self-Archiving

Authors retain copyright and are encouraged to deposit the Version of Record (VoR) in:

  • Institutional repositories
  • Personal academic websites
  • Subject repositories (e.g., Mendeley Data, OSF)
Note: Please include the DOI and citation to the Version of Record when self-archiving, and retain the CC BY-SA 4.0 license statement.
6. Policy Review

This Archive Policy is reviewed annually to ensure alignment with evolving international digital-preservation standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.
