Publication Process

Publication Process

At Sharia Economic Law Innovation (SELI), we uphold a rigorous, transparent, and efficient publication process designed to maintain the highest standards of scholarly excellence and integrity. We are committed to supporting authors throughout every phase of manuscript handling, ensuring a fair and constructive experience.

1. Submission

Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts through our dedicated online submission system, strictly adhering to the journal’s submission guidelines. Upon receipt, manuscripts undergo an initial screening to verify compliance with formatting requirements and ethical standards, including originality and plagiarism checks.

2. Editorial Assessment

The Editor-in-Chief delegates the manuscript to a qualified Associate Editor who performs a preliminary evaluation to assess the manuscript’s scope, scientific merit, and suitability for peer review. Manuscripts meeting SELI’s quality criteria proceed to the peer review stage.

3. Peer Review

SELI employs a double-blind peer review system conducted by independent experts specializing in the relevant research field. Reviewers critically assess the manuscript’s originality, significance, methodological rigor, and clarity. They provide constructive, detailed feedback and recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection.

4. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers’ evaluations and recommendations, the Associate Editor renders a decision, which may be acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Authors receive a comprehensive decision letter detailing reviewer comments and guidance for any required revisions.

5. Revision Process

Authors are invited to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer and editorial feedback. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a detailed response letter addressing all comments. The Associate Editor reviews the revised submission to ensure adequacy of the revisions.

6. Final Decision

Following satisfactory revision, a final acceptance decision is made. Alternatively, further revisions or rejection may be communicated if necessary to uphold the journal’s quality standards.

7. Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to enhance clarity, consistency, and adherence to SELI’s stylistic guidelines. Authors are given the opportunity to review and approve the final proofs prior to publication.

8. Publication

The finalized article is published online on the SELI platform under the designated issue. Authors receive digital copies of their published work and are encouraged to disseminate their research through academic and social channels.

9. Indexing and Archiving

Published articles are indexed in prestigious databases and archived in trusted repositories to maximize visibility and long-term accessibility. SELI collaborates with leading indexing services to ensure the broad dissemination of research findings.

10. Post-Publication Support

SELI remains committed to supporting authors post-publication by addressing inquiries, facilitating corrections if necessary, and actively promoting articles via multiple platforms to enhance impact and engagement.

At SELI, we continuously strive for excellence, transparency, and efficiency in our publication process, fostering the advancement of knowledge in Sharia economic law worldwide.
