Archive Policy

Sharia Economic Law Innovation (SELI)

Sharia Economic Law Innovation (SELI) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, discoverability, and integrity of published scholarly content. This archive policy supports sustainable digital preservation practices so that published articles remain available for future academic use, citation, indexing, and scholarly reference.

1. Purpose of Archiving

The purpose of SELI’s archive policy is to protect the scholarly record and ensure that all published articles remain accessible over time. Archiving supports academic continuity, metadata reliability, article citation, institutional access, and long-term scholarly communication in sharia economic law and Islamic economic studies.

2. Digital Preservation Commitment

SELI supports digital preservation by maintaining article files, metadata, publication records, DOI-ready information, and issue archives through the journal platform and related preservation mechanisms. The journal continuously improves its archiving readiness in accordance with recognized scholarly publishing practices.

  • Preservation of published article files in PDF and metadata formats.
  • Maintenance of article titles, author names, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, references, and publication dates.
  • Support for DOI metadata and citation discoverability.
  • Long-term accessibility through the journal’s official website.
  • Continuous improvement of preservation infrastructure and backup management.

3. Archiving Systems and Preservation Channels

SELI supports the development of reliable digital archiving through internal and external preservation channels where applicable. Archive participation and preservation status may be updated according to official confirmation from the relevant services.

OJS Journal Archive

All published issues and articles are stored and made accessible through the official SELI journal platform.

OAI-PMH Metadata

SELI supports metadata interoperability to improve harvesting, indexing, discoverability, and long-term access.

PKP Preservation Network

The journal supports OJS-based preservation infrastructure where applicable and technically available.

Repository and Indexing Readiness

SELI continues to strengthen metadata quality and repository readiness to support wider scholarly visibility.

4. Website and Platform Preservation

SELI maintains published articles through its official journal website. Article pages, PDF files, issue archives, metadata records, and publication histories are managed to ensure stable access. The journal also supports regular platform maintenance and content backup procedures to reduce the risk of data loss.

5. Metadata Preservation

SELI preserves article metadata to support discoverability, indexing, citation tracking, and long-term scholarly use. Metadata preservation includes:

  • Article title and subtitle where applicable.
  • Author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and correspondence details.
  • Abstract, keywords, publication date, volume, issue, and page/article number.
  • References and citation metadata.
  • DOI and publication identifier information where applicable.
  • Licensing, copyright, and open access metadata.

6. Article Version and Record Maintenance

SELI preserves the version of record for each published article. If corrections, updates, expressions of concern, or retractions are necessary, the journal will maintain transparent documentation to ensure that the publication history remains traceable and the scholarly record remains reliable.

7. Author Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted to archive and share their published articles for academic, educational, and non-commercial purposes, provided that the original publication in SELI is properly cited and linked.

Preprint Version Authors may share preprint versions when appropriate and should clearly indicate that the manuscript has not yet been peer reviewed.
Accepted Manuscript Authors may archive accepted versions with acknowledgment of the journal publication status.
Published Version Authors may share the final published version with proper citation, DOI/link, and license information.

8. Access Continuity

In the event of website migration, server maintenance, platform upgrade, or technical disruption, SELI will make reasonable efforts to maintain access to published content and preserve article metadata. The journal will continue to improve its infrastructure to support reliable and sustainable access.

9. Open Access and License Preservation

SELI preserves published articles under its open access and licensing policy. License information, copyright statement, and article access rights are maintained as part of the article record to support legal reuse, citation, and scholarly distribution.

Preservation Development Note

SELI continues to develop its digital preservation readiness, metadata quality, repository visibility, and archiving infrastructure. Official participation in external preservation networks or archive services will be updated when confirmation from the relevant service is available.

SELI is committed to preserving scholarly content for long-term academic access.
The journal supports reliable archiving, metadata integrity, open access dissemination, and responsible stewardship of the scholarly record.
