Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics
Journal of International Economic Sharia (JIES) upholds the highest standards of integrity and transparency, following COPE Core Practices, ICMJE Guidelines, and other internationally recognized frameworks.
Adherence to Ethical Standards
JIES complies with ethical publishing standards set by COPE, WAME, and CSE. All participants—authors, editors, and reviewers—must follow principles of academic integrity, honesty, and accountability.
Plagiarism & Originality
All manuscripts are screened with plagiarism detection software. Authors must certify their work as original, properly cited, and free from redundant or duplicate publication. Maximum similarity threshold is 12%.
Authorship & Credits
Following ICMJE criteria, all listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the study. Contributions of non-authors (funders, advisors, institutions) should be acknowledged appropriately.
Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must declare any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts that may bias judgment. Disclosures ensure transparency in decision-making and reader trust.
Editorial & Reviewer Responsibility
Editors and reviewers must treat all manuscripts confidentially, assess them objectively, and avoid influence from non-academic factors. Reviews should be constructive, evidence-based, and timely.
Data Sharing & Transparency
Authors are encouraged to provide data availability statements. Sensitive data must follow ethical and legal standards. Reproducibility and transparency are essential for scientific credibility.
Complaints & Appeals
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a reasoned statement to the Editor-in-Chief. Complaints regarding ethics or misconduct will be handled according to COPE flowcharts.
Corrections & Retractions
If major errors or ethical breaches are identified, JIES will issue corrections or retract the article. Retraction notices will remain linked to the original article for transparency.
Commitment to Integrity: JIES ensures all parties uphold the highest standards of academic publishing. By aligning with COPE, ICMJE, and Scopus/WoS best practices, we safeguard research quality, protect reader trust, and position JIES as a credible international journal.
