Guide for Authors
Journal of International Economic Sharia (JIES) — Author Submission and Formatting Guidelines
Preparation of Submission Files
Authors must prepare three mandatory files:
File 1: Author Data & Signature
Each author must provide:
- Full name with academic title
- Email address
- Complete affiliation (Dept, Faculty, University, City, Country)
- ORCID ID (mandatory for all authors)
- Google Scholar ID (required for faculty)
- Scopus Author ID (required for researchers/lecturers)
File 2: Full Article Manuscript
Manuscripts must follow this format:
- Title Page: Title (≤15 words), authors, affiliations, corresponding email, ORCID.
- Abstract (≤250 words, structured: Objective, Methods, Results, Novelty, Implications; 5 keywords).
- Main Text: Times New Roman, 11 pt, 1.5 spacing, 1” margins.
- Sections: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results & Discussion, Conclusion.
- Additional: Limitations, Funding, Acknowledgements.
Tables & figures must be clear, consistent, and in Times New Roman (11 pt). Hypotheses should be supported with Scopus-indexed references.
File 3: Turnitin Similarity Report
A similarity report (PDF) is mandatory. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 12% will not be processed.
References
- Use Mendeley for citation management.
- Follow consistent style; prioritize Scopus-indexed journals.
- Ensure all in-text citations appear in the reference list and vice versa.
Submission Process (via OJS)
- Complete Author Data: ensure ORCID, affiliation, and email are correct.
- Upload Files: submit all three required documents.
- Confirmation: check metadata before finalizing submission.
Review Process
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review to ensure objectivity and fairness:
- Anonymity: authors and reviewers remain unknown to each other.
- Compliance: manuscripts assessed on originality, methodology, and relevance.
- Decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
