Publication Process
Publication Process
The Advances in Management Innovation (AMI) follows a rigorous and transparent publication process designed to maintain the highest scholarly standards. This workflow ensures fair evaluation, timely communication, and compliance with international academic publishing ethics.
- Manuscript Submission Authors submit their manuscripts through the official AMI Online Submission System in accordance with the Author Guidelines. Submissions must include:
- Main manuscript file (anonymized for double-blind review)
- Title page with author information
- Conflict of Interest & Funding Disclosure
- Ethical approval statement (if applicable)
- Supplementary materials (data, appendices, figures, etc.)
- Administrative & Technical Screening The editorial office checks:
- Compliance with journal scope and aims
- Formatting and referencing style (APA 7th edition)
- Completeness of required sections (abstract, keywords, references)
- Figure and table quality (minimum 300 dpi for images)
- Plagiarism and Similarity Check All manuscripts undergo a similarity check using Turnitin or iThenticate. Manuscripts with similarity indexes exceeding 20% (excluding references) will be returned for revision or rejected.
- Initial Editorial Evaluation The Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor evaluates the manuscript’s novelty, significance, methodological soundness, and potential contribution. Based on this assessment, the manuscript may proceed to peer review, be returned for technical corrections, or be desk-rejected.
- Double-Blind Peer Review Manuscripts passing initial evaluation are assigned to at least two expert reviewers. The review process is double-blind—authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Review criteria include:
- Originality and contribution to the field
- Methodological rigor and accuracy
- Clarity of presentation
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Review Reports & Author Revisions Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations. Authors are required to:
- Submit a revised manuscript addressing all comments
- Provide a detailed “Response to Reviewers” document mapping changes to specific reviewer feedback
- Editorial Decision The editorial board decides based on reviewer recommendations:
- Accept
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
- Copyediting and Language Editing Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency. If necessary, authors may be requested to perform additional language polishing.
- Proofreading and Author Approval Final proofs are sent to authors for review and approval. Only minor corrections are permitted at this stage to avoid delays in publication.
- Online First Publication The final version is published online with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for immediate accessibility and citation, even before assignment to a specific journal issue.
- Issue Compilation and Indexing The article is assigned to an issue, archived in the AMI database, and indexed in relevant scholarly databases. Metadata is updated to ensure discoverability in global indexing services.
Estimated Timeline: The typical duration from submission to publication is 8–12 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and author responsiveness. AMI prioritizes efficient communication and transparency at every stage of the publication process.
