Publication Ethics
Advances in Management Innovation (AMI) is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in academic publishing, in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and the guidelines followed by leading international publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, and Taylor & Francis. Ethical publishing ensures trust in scientific findings, protects intellectual property, and maintains the integrity of the scholarly record.
1. Responsibilities of Authors
- Manuscripts must be original works, free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or redundant publication.
- Authors must provide accurate and complete descriptions of research methods and results, allowing replication of the study.
- All sources of data, methods, and funding must be properly acknowledged; relevant prior work should be cited accurately.
- All authors must have made a significant contribution to the work and approve the final version before submission.
- Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence interpretation of results.
2. Responsibilities of Editors
- Editors are accountable for all published content and must make decisions based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance.
- Editors must ensure a fair, unbiased, and timely peer review process, maintaining strict confidentiality of submissions.
- Editors will take necessary action in cases of suspected misconduct, following COPE flowcharts for ethical resolution.
3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Reviewers must provide constructive, objective, and timely feedback that helps authors improve their manuscripts.
- Reviewers must respect the confidentiality of the review process and refrain from using any unpublished material for personal advantage.
- Reviewers should declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.
4. Ethical Oversight & Misconduct Handling
AMI strictly prohibits plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, image manipulation, and any unethical research practices. In cases of suspected misconduct, the journal will initiate a formal investigation in line with COPE procedures, which may result in rejection, retraction, or reporting to the author’s institution or funding agency. The journal also adheres to ethical oversight concerning studies involving human participants, animals, and sensitive data, requiring appropriate ethical approvals.
5. Open Access & Licensing Ethics
As an Open Access journal, AMI ensures that all published articles are freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright while granting the journal the right to disseminate their work, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and equitable knowledge sharing.
