Reviewers serve as independent subject-matter experts who assess the quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical soundness, and scholarly contribution of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers help editors make informed decisions while supporting authors in improving the clarity and value of their research.

Review Process Review Process

  1. Invitation to Review: Reviewers receive an email invitation containing manuscript title, abstract, and response link. Accept or decline based on expertise, availability, and conflict of interest.
  2. Access Manuscript: After accepting, reviewers may access the manuscript and supplementary files through the RAIDA submission system.
  3. Initial Assessment: Conduct a quick review to determine whether the manuscript fits RAIDA’s scope and meets basic quality requirements.
  4. Detailed Review: Evaluate the manuscript thoroughly according to the criteria below.
Detailed Evaluation Aspects
Title and Abstract: Are they accurate, clear, concise, and reflective of the study?
Introduction: Does it provide sufficient background, gap, research question, and objective?
Methodology: Is the method sound, replicable, and appropriate?
Results: Are results clearly presented and logically analyzed?
Discussion and Conclusion: Are interpretations supported by data and literature?
References: Are references relevant, current, credible, and formatted appropriately?
Figures and Tables: Are they clear, well-labeled, and cited correctly?
Ethics: Are ethical approval, consent, data use, and disclosure statements adequate?

Feedback Writing Your Review

  • Summary: Provide a brief summary of the manuscript, including main findings and overall quality.
  • Major Comments: Identify significant issues related to theory, novelty, methodology, results, analysis, ethics, or contribution.
  • Minor Comments: Note typographical errors, formatting issues, unclear sentences, missing citations, or minor methodological concerns.
  • Recommendation: Select one editorial recommendation based on your assessment.

Example of effective comment:
Instead of writing “The discussion is weak,” write: “The discussion in Section 4 needs stronger connection with recent literature and should explain how the findings extend previous studies. Please add relevant recent references and clarify the theoretical implications.”

Ethics Ethical Guidelines

  • Confidentiality: Do not share, copy, cite, discuss, or use any part of the manuscript or review outside the review process.
  • Objectivity: Avoid personal criticism and evaluate based on evidence, academic quality, and relevance.
  • Bias: Do not allow nationality, gender, affiliation, religion, seniority, or personal belief to influence your review.
  • Conflict of Interest: Notify the editor if there is a personal, academic, financial, institutional, or competitive conflict.
  • Ethical Concerns: Inform the editor if you detect plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, image manipulation, unethical research, or undisclosed AI use.

Timeline Timeline

  • Review Timeframe: Complete the review within the timeframe stated in the invitation, usually 2–4 weeks.
  • Extensions: Contact the editorial office as soon as possible if additional time is needed.
  • Declining Review: Decline promptly if the topic is outside your expertise or if you are unavailable.

Post Review Post-Review

  • Confidential Comments: Provide private notes to editors regarding manuscript suitability when necessary.
  • Recognition: Reviewers may be acknowledged by RAIDA and may receive certificates of appreciation.
  • Profile Update: Reviewers are encouraged to keep expertise, affiliation, and contact information current.

Submit How to Submit Your Review

  1. Login: Log in to the RAIDA submission system using the credentials or review link provided in the invitation email.
  2. Complete Review Form: Follow the review form prompts, provide comments for authors, confidential comments for editors if needed, and select your recommendation.
  3. Submit Review: Review all comments carefully and click the final submit button.
  4. Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once the review has been submitted successfully.
