Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics and Integrity
Community Service Research Innovation (CSRI), published by PT. Inovasi Analisis Data, maintains the highest standards of publication ethics to ensure the integrity, transparency, and trustworthiness of research dissemination. These principles guide all stakeholders — authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher — following global standards such as COPE, ICMJE, and WAME.
Ethical Guidelines for Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism. Proper citation of all sources is mandatory. Duplicate or redundant publication is strictly prohibited.
- Data Integrity and Fabrication: All presented data must be accurate, truthful, and verifiable. Fabrication or manipulation of data constitutes serious misconduct.
- Authorship and Contribution: Only those who have substantially contributed intellectually should be credited as authors. All must approve the final manuscript.
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Authors must declare any financial, professional, or personal conflicts potentially affecting the research or its interpretation.
- Ethical Compliance: Research involving humans or animals must comply with ethical standards and have relevant IRB approvals. Informed consent is mandatory.
- Data Sharing and Transparency: Authors are encouraged to share underlying data to support reproducibility.
- Exclusive Submission: Manuscripts should not be under review elsewhere.
- Corrections and Retractions: Authors must cooperate promptly in correcting or retracting work if ethical concerns arise.
Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts must be kept strictly confidential. Information cannot be shared or used for personal advantage.
- Objectivity and Impartiality: Reviews must be unbiased and based solely on scientific merit.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any conflicts and decline reviews if necessary.
- Timeliness: Feedback should be submitted within the agreed timeframe.
- Ethical Concerns Reporting: Reviewers should notify editors of suspected misconduct.
Ethical Guidelines for Editors
- Fairness and Confidentiality: Editorial decisions must be impartial and confidential.
- Transparency and Accountability: Decisions must be clearly explained and documented.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors must disclose and recuse themselves if conflicts arise.
- Efficient Editorial Process: Editors must ensure timely review and publication.
- Appeals and Complaints: Editors provide a clear process for handling disputes.
Publisher’s Ethical Oversight
PT. Inovasi Analisis Data upholds ethical standards through regular audits, editorial training, and collaboration with global ethical bodies such as COPE. Ethical breaches are addressed promptly to maintain trust and integrity.
Compliance and Reporting
Stakeholders should adhere to these ethics. Suspected violations may be confidentially reported to ethics@analysisdata.co.id. CSRI maintains a zero-tolerance policy for unethical practices.
Ethical Misconduct Handling Procedures
When ethical misconduct is suspected, CSRI follows COPE-recommended transparent procedures:
- Initial Assessment: The Editor-in-Chief confidentially evaluates reports or suspicions of misconduct to determine investigation need.
- Investigation: The editorial team, possibly with independent experts, reviews evidence and allows involved parties to respond.
- Decision Making: Decisions to reject, retract, or correct are made based on facts and communicated transparently.
- Notification: Relevant institutions and funders may be informed; retractions or corrections are clearly published and linked.
- Appeals: Parties may appeal with new evidence; appeals are reviewed by an independent panel.
- Prevention and Education: CSRI actively promotes ethics education to minimize misconduct risk.
Through adherence to these comprehensive ethical standards, Community Service Research Innovation (CSRI) ensures the publication of reliable, trustworthy research that benefits scholarly communities and society at large.
