Community Service Research Innovation (CSRI) publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research articles, case studies, and best practices in community service and applied social innovation. The journal prioritizes manuscripts that demonstrate a direct, measurable, and sustainable impact on communities, integrating academic rigor with practical solutions.
Before You Submit: Required Files Checklist
To ensure a smooth submission and review process, authors must prepare and upload the following four essential files:
- Full Manuscript File – Complete article prepared strictly according to the CSRI template, including all sections and formatting requirements.
- Author Data Profile – A separate file containing detailed author information: full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), email address(es), ORCID iD (mandatory), Google Scholar ID, and Scopus ID (required for lecturers and researchers).
- Turnitin Similarity Report – A PDF file of the plagiarism check report demonstrating similarity index below 15% (excluding references and quotes).
- Copyright Agreement Form – Signed copyright transfer or license agreement form, indicating that the authors agree to the journal’s publication policies.
Note: Submissions missing any of these files will be considered incomplete and may be delayed or rejected.
1. Focus and Scope
Submissions must align with CSRI’s focus areas, which include but are not limited to:
- Community economic empowerment through entrepreneurship and MSME support
- Sustainable agriculture, food security, and rural development
- Public health programs, disease prevention, and WASH initiatives
- Environmental management, climate change adaptation, and renewable energy
- Appropriate technology and digital inclusion for community development
- Education quality improvement, literacy programs, and inclusive education
- Cultural heritage preservation and community-based arts empowerment
- Disaster resilience, mitigation, and recovery strategies
- Gender equality, youth leadership, and social justice advocacy
- Waste management, recycling, and green innovation
2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
- Original Research Articles – Empirical studies with quantitative or qualitative approaches.
- Case Studies – Detailed accounts of innovative community service projects.
- Best Practice Reports – Documenting replicable and scalable community interventions.
- Conceptual Papers – Theoretical discussions relevant to community empowerment.
3. Language
Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English, preferably in American English. Authors are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread before submission.
4. Manuscript Structure
Recommended structure for research articles:
- Title – Concise and descriptive (max 15 words).
- Author(s) and Affiliation(s) – Full names, institutions, and ORCID iDs.
- Abstract – 150–250 words, structured with Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
- Keywords – 4–6 keywords separated by commas.
- Introduction – Problem background, gap analysis, and objectives.
- Literature Review – Relevant theoretical and empirical studies.
- Methodology – Study design, participants, instruments, procedures, data analysis.
- Results – Present findings clearly with tables and figures.
- Discussion – Interpret results, link to literature, highlight contributions.
- Conclusion and Recommendations – Summarize key findings and policy/practice implications.
- Acknowledgements – Funding sources, collaborators, and contributors.
- References – APA 7th edition, minimum 80% from Scopus-indexed journals (last 10 years).
5. Formatting Guidelines
- File format: Microsoft Word (.docx).
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
- Page numbers: Bottom right corner.
- Tables and figures: Numbered sequentially, with captions above tables and below figures.
6. Referencing Style
CSRI uses APA 7th Edition. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or EndNote.
7. Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts are checked using Turnitin. The similarity index must not exceed 15% (excluding references). Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned for revision or rejected.
8. Ethical Considerations
- Research involving human participants must have ethical clearance from a recognized ethics committee.
- Authors must declare any conflicts of interest.
- Funding sources must be disclosed in the acknowledgements.
9. Submission Process
Submissions must be made through the CSRI Online Journal System (OJS) at https://analysisdata.co.id/index.php/csri. Authors must register and follow the step-by-step submission form.
10. Peer Review Process
CSRI applies a double-blind peer review process with at least two expert reviewers. The decision is based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the editorial board’s judgment.
11. Post-Acceptance
- Accepted manuscripts will undergo professional copyediting and layout editing.
- Authors will receive proofs for final approval before publication.
- Publication is fully open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
