Author Guidelines (2026)

Innovations in Science Physics Education (ISPE)

Comprehensive instructions for manuscript preparation and submission via OJS (Double-Blind Peer Review).

Mandatory Submission Requirements

Before submitting via OJS, authors MUST prepare the following 5 separate files to ensure ethical compliance and a proper double-blind peer-review process.

1) Cover Letter Letter to the Editor explaining novelty, fit with ISPE scope, and originality.

2) Blind Manuscript Manuscript text WITHOUT author names, affiliations, and acknowledgements.

3) Title Page Full author identities, affiliations, emails, and ORCID IDs.

4) Ethics Statement CRediT roles, conflict of interest, funding, data availability, and AI use disclosure.

5) Similarity / Turnitin Report PDF report required. Similarity and AI score should follow ISPE screening policy.

Manuscript Structure

Title & Abstract

Title should be concise and informative. Abstract (150–250 words) should state: Purpose, Method, Key Findings, and Implications. Include 3–5 keywords.

1. Introduction

Present the phenomenon, research problem, theoretical gap, urgency/novelty, objectives, and contribution to physics/science education.

2. Literature Review

Synthesize prior studies and theory. Build clear argumentation (not a list of studies). If applicable, develop research questions/hypotheses.

3. Research Methods

Describe design, participants/sample, instruments, procedures, data analysis, and validity/reliability steps to ensure reproducibility.

4. Results & Discussion

Present results clearly (tables/figures where appropriate). Discuss meaning, connect to theory, compare with prior research, and explain implications.

5. Conclusion

Summarize main findings, theoretical/practical implications, limitations, and future research directions.

Typography & Layout

Font: Times New Roman 12pt (body text).
Spacing: 1.15 (or follow the ISPE template if provided).
Paper: A4 with standard margins (recommended 2.5 cm).
Headings:
- Level 1: Bold, Title Case (e.g., 1. Introduction)
- Level 2: Italic, not bold (e.g., 2.1 Theoretical Foundation)

Tables & Figures

Placement: Put after first mention in text (as close as possible).
Tables: Must be editable (Word), not images. Use minimal lines.
Titles:
- Table title: Above table, left aligned.
- Figure caption: Below figure, center aligned.
Resolution: Ensure figures are clear for print/PDF.

Reference Management

References must be managed using Mendeley or Zotero in APA 7th Edition.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 20 references.
At least 80% from primary sources (journals/proceedings) within the last 10 years.
Cite reputable journals (Scopus/WoS) and relevant national journals where appropriate.

Prepare Your Files (Before Logging In)

Do not start the submission process until you have these files ready:

✔ Title Page (DOCX)
✔ Ethics Statement (PDF)
✔ Similarity Report (PDF)

Registration (If you don't have an account)

Click Register and complete the required (*) fields accurately.

Key fields:
• Given Name & Family Name
• Affiliation: Department, Faculty, University, Country
• Country, Email, Password
• Agree to the Privacy Statement

Tab 1: Start Submission

Submission Language: choose English (recommended).
Submission Requirements: tick all boxes.
Comments for Editor: optional (e.g., suggest reviewers).
Click Save and Continue.

Tab 2: Upload Submission (Critical)

Click Upload File and choose the correct Article Component.

Repeat Upload File until all files are uploaded, then click Save and Continue.

Tab 3: Enter Metadata

Title: paste the article title (Title Case).
Abstract: paste your abstract.
Contributors (Authors): add all co-authors using Add Contributor, including:
- Full Name & Email
- Affiliation & Country
- ORCID iD (recommended for indexing)
- Role: Author
Keywords: type a keyword and press Enter.
References: paste APA bibliography list.

Tab 4: Confirmation

Review all data and click: Finish Submission. You will receive an email confirmation. If you do not click this button, the submission is not completed.
