Publication Ethics
Core Ethical Principles
Innovations in Science Physics Education (ISPE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical publishing. The journal follows internationally recognized best practices and aligns with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) .
All parties involved in the publication process — authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher — must adhere to these ethical standards to safeguard academic integrity.
Duties of Authors
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original and properly cite all sources.
- Authorship: Only individuals who made significant scholarly contributions should be listed as authors.
- Data Integrity: No fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of research data.
- Ethical Approval: Research involving human participants must include ethics approval where required.
- AI Transparency: AI tools used in writing or analysis must be disclosed.
- No Simultaneous Submission: Manuscripts must not be under review elsewhere.
Duties of Editors
- Fair Evaluation: Decisions are based solely on academic merit and relevance.
- Confidentiality: Manuscript information must not be disclosed improperly.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors must recuse themselves from conflicted submissions.
- Ethical Oversight: Editors act upon suspected misconduct in accordance with COPE flowcharts.
Duties of Reviewers
- Objectivity: Provide constructive and evidence-based feedback.
- Confidentiality: Treat manuscripts as confidential documents.
- Timeliness: Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.
- Conflict Disclosure: Notify editors of any potential conflict of interest.
Handling of Research Misconduct
Allegations of plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices will be investigated carefully. If misconduct is confirmed, actions may include:
- Manuscript rejection
- Publication correction or retraction
- Notification to the author’s institution
- Temporary or permanent submission restrictions
Digital Archiving & Open Access
ISPE supports long-term digital preservation and open dissemination of knowledge. Articles are published under an open-access license and made freely available online. Persistent identifiers (DOI) and metadata standards are applied where available.
