Advances in Accounting Innovation (AAI) welcomes original research, reviews, case studies, and conceptual papers in the field of accounting, finance, and related areas. Submissions are evaluated according to the highest international academic standards, comparable to leading journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and following Elsevier’s publishing guidelines. This document provides detailed instructions to authors for manuscript preparation, submission, and publication ethics to ensure quality, clarity, and reproducibility.

1. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through AAI's online submission system to ensure tracking, peer review, and transparency.
  • All files must be anonymized for Double-Blind Peer Review, with author information removed from text, figures, and metadata.

  • Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing objectives, methodology, key findings, and practical/theoretical implications. Structured abstracts are encouraged for empirical studies.
  • Keywords: 3–5 specific terms representing core topics, facilitating indexing and discoverability.
  • Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, objectives, significance, and theoretical grounding. Highlight gaps in existing literature to justify the study.
  • Literature Review: Review relevant peer-reviewed research and critically synthesize prior studies. Identify research gaps and link the study to current debates.
  • Methodology: Provide detailed information on research design, data sources, sample selection, procedures, and statistical or qualitative analyses. Ensure transparency and reproducibility according to international standards.
  • Results: Present findings logically, using tables, figures, and charts. Highlight key results while avoiding redundancy with discussion.
  • Discussion: Interpret results in relation to hypotheses or research questions, compare with previous literature, discuss implications, limitations, and potential applications.
  • Conclusion: Summarize major findings, contributions to theory and practice, limitations, and suggestions for future research.
  • References: Cite recent, peer-reviewed, and relevant literature. Follow APA 7th edition consistently for in-text citations and reference list formatting.

3. Formatting Requirements

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced throughout.
  • Include page numbers and line numbers for reviewer convenience.
  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and include descriptive captions.
  • Supplementary materials (datasets, code, or appendices) can be submitted as separate files.

4. Submission Checklist

  • Manuscript is original, clearly written, and free from plagiarism.
  • All required sections are included: title page, abstract, main text, references, figures, and tables.
  • Compliance with ethical guidelines, including human/animal research approval and conflict of interest disclosure.
