Plagiarism Policy
Innovation Biology Research (IBR) enforces a rigorous zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism and academic misconduct. To maintain the integrity of biological scholarly records, every manuscript is strictly screened for originality and ethical compliance prior to the peer-review process.
Plagiarism Definitions

- ◈ Data Fabrication: The unethical manipulation of biological images, microscopy results, or numerical data.
- ◈ AI Misconduct: Undisclosed use of generative AI tools to create scientific hypotheses or primary content.
Screening Process
- Similarity Threshold: Manuscripts must not exceed a 12% similarity index (excluding bibliographies).
- Manual Audit: Editors conduct manual image integrity checks for all biological figures.
- Outcome: Submissions failing to meet these standards will be rejected immediately without further review.
