Editorial Workflow Overview

Every manuscript submitted to Journal Economic Business Innovation (JEBI) undergoes a rigorous screening and peer-review process to ensure scientific quality and integrity in the fields of economics and business. The entire process is managed via the OJS system to guarantee transparency and auditability.

Step-by-Step Stages

Submission & Pre-Check

Duration: 1-7 Days

The author submits the manuscript. The Editor performs an initial screening (Desk Review) to check:

Compliance with the template and scope (Economics & Business).
Completeness of administrative files (Cover Letter, Ethics Statement).
Plagiarism Check: Using Turnitin AI (Must be < 12%).

*Manuscripts failing this stage are returned immediately.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Duration: 4-8 Weeks

The manuscript is assigned to at least two independent reviewers.

Anonymity: Reviewers do not know the author's identity, and vice versa.
Criteria: Novelty, methodology, data analysis, and contribution to science.
Reviewers submit their recommendations: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

Author Revision

Duration: 2-4 Weeks

The author revises the manuscript based on reviewer comments.

Authors must submit a "Response to Reviewers" document detailing changes made.
If "Major Revision" was required, the manuscript may undergo a second round of review.

Editorial Decision & Acceptance

Duration: 1-2 Weeks

Based on the revised manuscript, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision.

If accepted, a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is issued.
The author receives the invoice for the Article Processing Charge (APC).

Production & Publication

Duration: 2-3 Weeks

The final stage before the article goes live.

Copyediting: Grammar and style correction.
Layout: Formatting into the final PDF/HTML version.
Proofreading: Author approves the final galley proof.
Publishing: DOI activation and indexing (Google Scholar, Crossref, etc.).
