2. Author Rights
Authors retain the right to:
- Share and distribute the published article in accordance with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
- Deposit the article in personal, institutional, disciplinary, or funder repositories.
- Use the article in teaching, presentations, lectures, workshops, and course materials.
- Reuse content in future books, theses, dissertations, reviews, compilations, or derivative scholarly works with proper acknowledgment of the original publication.
- Translate, adapt, or otherwise build upon the work under the applicable Creative Commons terms.
- Grant additional non-exclusive permissions consistent with rights already granted under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
3. Journal and Publisher Rights
IMCHP and its publisher may:
- Publish the article as the journal's Version of Record.
- Assign and register article metadata, DOI information, citation metadata, and publication identifiers.
- Distribute article metadata and links to indexing, discovery, library, preservation, repository, and scholarly infrastructure services used by the journal.
- Convert or migrate the article into future digital formats required for accessibility, preservation, or platform continuity.
- Maintain corrections, retractions, Crossmark updates, or other post-publication notices associated with the scholarly record.
- Take reasonable editorial or legal steps to address false attribution, misleading reuse, or misuse of journal branding or publication metadata.
4. Right of First Publication
By accepting publication in IMCHP, authors authorize the journal to publish the work first as the official scholarly version of record. Subsequent lawful distribution or reuse should identify the original IMCHP publication, including article title, author(s), journal title, year, volume/issue where applicable, and DOI.
5. Self-Archiving Policy
IMCHP supports author self-archiving and scholarly dissemination. Authors may deposit manuscript versions in appropriate repositories or academic platforms, subject to the conditions below.
| Version | Description | Deposit | Embargo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preprint | Author's manuscript before formal peer review. | Permitted | None |
| Accepted Manuscript | Peer-reviewed manuscript accepted for publication before final journal typesetting. | Permitted | None |
| Version of Record | Final article as formally published by IMCHP. | Permitted | None |
Deposit Requirement: When archiving an accepted or published version, authors should include the complete citation and DOI link to the official IMCHP Version of Record once available.
6. Preprints and Prior Dissemination
Posting a manuscript as a preprint does not automatically constitute prior publication for IMCHP. Authors should disclose relevant preprints at submission and provide the preprint DOI or persistent link where available. If the article is later published in IMCHP, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record with a citation and DOI link to the Version of Record.
7. Third-Party Material and Permissions
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted or otherwise restricted third-party material where permission is required. A Creative Commons license applied to an IMCHP article does not automatically relicense third-party material that is separately credited or identified as being subject to another copyright or license.
8. Attribution, Integrity, and Moral Rights
- Users must attribute the original author(s) and publication appropriately.
- Adaptations must not misrepresent the original findings, conclusions, or authorship.
- Changes to reused material should be clearly indicated.
- Reuse must not imply endorsement by IMCHP, its editors, or the publisher.
- Authors' applicable moral rights remain respected subject to relevant law.
Related IMCHP Policies
This Copyright & Licensing Policy should be read together with the journal's Open Access Statement, Publication Ethics, Article Processing Charge, Archiving Policy, and any article-specific rights or permission notices.
